Looking Through the Looking Glass

I was asked earlier today how I choose who to photograph on the street? I wouldn't say I have a set criteria, nor would I say I go by set trends or looks. I personally think the perfect look is a little bit of an equation which requires thoughtful consideration but little effort. Of course for some people this comes at a sub-conscious level, instinctual even.

When all the right and appropriate elements (colour, proportion, detail, personality...) come together as one cohesive whole, originality and personal style prevails. This is the embodiment I seek and recognise on the street. It is also the philosophy I go by when dressing everyday.

PS. No flip-flops, please.
